DRC Displaced people from Kisangani want to return home despite

In Kisangani, in the north-east of the DRC, nearly 5,000 displaced people from the Mbole Lengola community conflict have received aid from the Congolese government in the form of food and equipment. Since November 2023, a land conflict between the two tribes has caused killings and displacement of residents of the commune of Lubunga, the only commune in Kisangani located on the left bank of the Congo River. In the four camps for displaced people in Kisangani, the joy of receiving aid is mixed with the desire to return home, especially as the start of the school year approaches.
