DRC: 6.9 million internally displaced people, a record

DRC 69 million internally displaced people a record

There have never been so many displaced people in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Nearly 7 million, according to figures published this Monday, October 30 by the International Organization for Migration. A record figure which can be explained in particular by the resurgence of violence in the east of the DRC. A large part of these displaced populations are in need of humanitarian assistance.
