In the Democratic Republic of Congo, the MPOX epidemic is in low regression, according to the National Institute of Public Health. According to the latest figures compiled, the country recorded 182 new confirmed cases last week, which brings the total confirmed case to 21,452 since January 1, 2024. A majority of these cases have declared themselves in the capital Kinshasa, which, in its own, recorded 88 new cases in a week, including a good part in a prison environment.
