Lauri Vuori had a dark race at the Tour and Arsi Ruuskasen had a crash with Martin Löwström Nyengeti. The top name of the Tour day was unexpectedly Sweden’s Edvin Anger.

An early Finnish ski comet Lauri Mountainous was in a bad mood when the Tour de Ski, the number one event of the Cross Country World Cup, crossed the halfway point.
– There is nothing else to say. It’s not working at the moment, Vuorinen describes to .
Vuorinen was 36th in the traditional 15 km pursuit race. He dropped five places from the previous day’s 20 km freestyle intermediate start race.
Vuorinen shone from the beginning of the season. He took his first podium place in the traditional sprint at the Ruka World Cup. There was even speculation about the mountains Ivo My neck as a couple for a possible World Cup medal trip.
Vuorinen has thought a lot about the reason for his current state.
– I can’t say the direct reason. The first sprint was a good day. Good run, the body worked well and the result was great, Vuorinen began.
– Something happened during the night. The next day was a bad joint start race. Since then, the body has been in a bad state. Compared to that, yesterday was surprisingly good. Today we went back to the same bad thing, which was at the start together.
Vuorinen cannot yet say whether he will continue with the Tour.
– The goal and plans were to continue. Let’s see now, Vuorinen says.
To top it all off, Vuorinen’s birthday is now on New Year’s Day. He is turning 30 years old.
What is a skier’s birthday like on a day like this?
– The birthday goes by in a flash while competing. Let’s enjoy birthdays now, Vuorinen described.
The best Finn in the day’s race was Niko Anttola. He was 19th coming to the finish line with a bigger hose. Anttola set aside his career-best finish, which came in the Toblahci 15-kilometer traditional cross-country start race.
– It looks like we will continue on the same track, which I have now been able to complete. There is nothing to worry about, Anttola stated.
– I am completely satisfied. That now seems to be established as the level I ski. It’s good, but you always get hungry when you eat it.
The fall was not visible in the TV pictures
Finishing behind Niko Anttola Arsi With Ruuskasen on the other hand, there was something interesting to tell at the finish line. He revealed that there was a “crash hassle” on the final descent.
Norwegian Martin Löwstrom On Nyengeti there was drama. He is remembered for this season in Davos and last season Iivo Niskanen as the loser from Ruka’s traditional normal distance games.
– Nyenget fell when we started from the top of the last hill. It has such a chicanery. Nyenget just fell in front of me. I got out of it so that his skis hit my feet. I lost all momentum. I dropped the hose there. It’s a bit sad, but these things hurt, Ruuskanen said about the final solutions.
Ruuskanen was otherwise satisfied with the course of the competition.
– Skiing with the best feeling for the Tour so far. The skis were slippery. It helped with that, Ruuskanen said.
The Swedish sensation stung
Norway at the top of the Tour Harald Östberg Amundsen suffered a heavy defeat as the others chased him. Amundsen defeated the sensational name of the day Edvin Anger in 2.5 seconds. The Swedish Anger was second in the day’s race and second in the time trials.
Anger fanned wildly at the finish line.
– He celebrates like a winner, an expert from the Norwegian public broadcasting company NRK Frederick Auckland described the 22-year-old’s strong reaction.
Anger even rose to second in the Tour’s overall standings. He is now the top name John Hösflot Kläboa 36 seconds behind. Amundsen dropped to third and 57 seconds behind Kläbo.
The Norwegian superstar was third in the day’s pursuit race, 5.3 seconds behind Amundsen. Kläbo beat Amundsen in Thursday’s pursuit by no less than 41.1 seconds. Anger almost caught Amundsen by no less than 1 minute and 14.7 seconds on Thursday.
– Really good start and finish. I felt perky. It was good skiing. It was a good day, Anger described his day’s performance to .
He had a moderate attitude to the overall situation.
– I go one day at a time. We’ll see, Anger described.
