Dragon’s Dogma 2 features challenging puzzles on PlayStation 5. Players will have one chance to get rewards from riddles.
Dragon’s Dogma 2 looks radically different from standard single-player RPG games. One such example is Capcom’s classic depiction of the Sphinx, featuring nightmarish quests that require players to solve riddles with actions rather than words.
Dragon’s Dogma 2 Features Challenging Puzzles on PS5
Dragon’s Dogma 2 recently released a gameplay video. There are four different character classes in the gameplay video. It promises at least 4K gameplay for PS5. In the game, you can play as a sword and shield warrior, a skillful dagger-wielding thief, a heavily armed warrior or a spell-casting wizard.
There is Only One Chance in Riddles
In a piece of IGN’s initial ongoing coverage of the game, director Hideaki Itsuno and lead designer Kento Kinoshita discuss what made Medusa tick. It looks like players will need to go into dungeons to look for chests that contain an item by solving a specific puzzle beyond regular chests. Given a single chance, if you give Sphix the wrong reward, you will not receive the reward for that puzzle. The Eyes Riddle is given as an example: “Our eyes are our allies. However, they can often betray. Because eyes lie and divert from the purpose.”
Itsuno says there are many mysteries to be discovered for adventurers devoted to mysterious riddles. He doesn’t just say it, he mocks it: “We have made the question of whether it can be defeated or even fought a mystery. We want this to be part of the fun players have when dealing with the Sphinx and its riddles. Players will have to find the Sphinx first if they can. The journey to find him will actually be the biggest mystery.”
