Dragon’s Dogma 2 promises to be the next big RPG hit. Some players are so excited that they are already putting dozens of hours into the game.
What are the players doing all the time? They spend it in the Character Creator, which Dragon’s Dogma 2 made available in advance last weekend. Players are already busy working on their “Awakened Ones” and the associated minions so that they can plunge into the game world immediately upon release.
MeinMMO author Christoph says: Capcom did everything right by foregoing a classic demo and releasing the character editor in advance.

What do the players say? Reddit user Strange_Music shared his impressive 27-hour play time on the Dragon’s Dogma subreddit and wrote: “A brilliant move by the DD2 team in my opinion. I’m already 100% invested in my characters.”
Another user emphasized how great it was to have the Character Creator available in advance: Otherwise, they might have rushed this important part of the game and only put in 4 hours (via Reddit).
One user with 17.5 hours in Character Creator jokes: “I had a lot of fun with it, but the endgame leaves a lot to be desired. I hope Capcom adds a story mode for DD3.” (via Reddit).
But apparently you can also exaggerate it: A screenshot that shows a playing time of more than 57 hours is only acknowledged with a “What the hell are you even doing at this point?” (via Reddit).
There is now even a separate subreddit called r/fashiondogma where players show off their creations. There you can get inspiration if you want to put the finishing touches on your own Awakened and ask the community for help in creating the perfect vassal.
