How does equipment work in the game? On your adventure you will find various weapons, armor and equipment such as rings with different values. You can upgrade them, but initially not unlimitedly.
In the lighthouse, the hub of the game, you will find the corresponding workshop. Simply step out of the building into the open air and you will find your destination. There you can upgrade the equipment with consumables. Let’s take a closer look at how exactly this works.

Improve workshop and carry out upgrades
How to improve the workshop? In order to improve the workshop and unlock higher upgrade levels, you have to find so-called “souvenirs” in the game world. These are objects that you can find in many places. If you solve the statue puzzle in the lighthouse, you will immediately receive 500 souvenir points. Some of them are also sold by dealers.
If you collect them and reach a certain amount, you can increase the workshop a level, called “business rank”, on your next visit. This will also unlock the next upgrades for your equipment.
It’s worth collecting and buying souvenirs right from the start in order to upgrade weapons and equipment as quickly as possible.

On the right you can increase the business rank, on the left you can choose between upgrade and enchantment.
Improve equipment
How do you upgrade equipment? Go to the workshop and select the item you want to upgrade from the menu. You can see how much this costs here. You can find the necessary materials everywhere in the game world. They are found in destructible boxes, in chests or sometimes just lying around on the side of the road.
A sword, such as the one wielded by the strong warrior class, is improved from level 0 to level 1. However, you cannot initially upgrade unlimitedly. Your equipment can only be improved as much as the workshop allows. If it has a level of +1, you can only upgrade an item there to +1.
Enchant equipment
How do you enchant equipment? If you have activated the option, you can enchant your items in the workshop. This gives them bonuses such as +10% weapon damage or +25% stumbling.
Important: You can only use an enchantment once. If you equip your weapon in your main hand with 10% more weapon damage, this no longer works for your off-hand weapon. Instead, you can choose a different enchantment.
Increase rarity
How do you increase the rarity of an item? The rarity increases when you find or buy a duplicate of your weapon. With this feature, items that don’t seem very useful at first glance can still become useful later on – because the values improve accordingly and even effects are added. Items have four rarity levels, from white (normal) to orange (legendary) according to the classic loot scheme.
By the way, you will always find equipment that corresponds to your current workshop level. If you increase the rarity of an item, its upgrade level will automatically increase. This way you can save on materials if you are short on money.
