In the lighthouse of Dragon Age: The Veilguard there is a puzzle that opens a hidden room. We’ll show you what the local statues have to do with it and how you can solve the puzzle.
Spoiler alert! This is about a puzzle that occurs very early in the game. But if you want to start the game completely fresh, the best thing to do now is to click on one article further.
What kind of riddle is this? Shortly after the start of the game you end up in the lighthouse. This is the central hub of the game, where you can have conversations with your companions and should urgently do so.
You can also improve your equipment and start quests here. There are a variety of rooms in which your companions live, but also mysterious rooms that are initially locked.
One of them is the music room, which only opens after solving a puzzle. To do this you have to find some statues in the level and turn them in the correct direction. You can read how it works here.

Find statues and solve puzzles
What’s with the statues? As you walk through the area you may have noticed some statues. You will encounter them again and again in the game, but there are six of them in the lighthouse. Now you have to find three couples who should look at each other.
The first statues
You will find the first pair above the exit to the outside. Take the stairs up and you will come across the statues. Now turn them repeatedly until they are looking at each other.
The second statues
Go further and find the first statue of the second couple behind Bellara’s room. His counterpart is a little below, in Neve’s room. Also turn these two towards each other.
To reach the statue below Neve’s room, walk towards it on the large middle path, but take the stairs down, not the ones up. You don’t have to sneak along the side of the tower and jump down.
The third statues
You can find the first statue of the third pair at the staircase that you take to get to pair 1, above the entrance. The counterpart is directly opposite on the other side of the site. Run past Lucari’s room near the kitchen on the right and find the statue. Proceed in the same way as with the others.
The puzzle is now solved and you can unlock the secret music room.
Unlock music room
Where is the music room? Enter the lighthouse and stay right. There is a now illuminated, round entrance that leads to the music room. The wall will not open until you solve the puzzle.
When you arrive in the music room you will find treasure chests with 400 gold, a codex entry and crystals. But that’s not all.
What else is there here? If you have reached story chapter 8 and found Taash and Emmrich, a will-o’-the-wisp will appear where the first statues are. Take it with you and go to the music room.
The will-o’-the-wisp will open another passage, behind which a magical portal awaits you. If you step through, you will reach the balcony on the floor above the entrance hall.
