How many companions can accompany me?

In Dragon Age: The Veilguard you get to know up to seven different companions. Two of the companions can support you in battle. For comparison: In the three previous games you could go around the houses with three companions. In addition, there were eight to ten potential allies to choose from (some of them tied to DLCs).

Are romances with companions possible?

In the new part of the Dragon Age series, free love is the order of the day for everyone. Regardless of the gender of your alter ego, all companions can enter into a relationship with you. But it should also be possible for the companions to flirt with each other and give their hearts.

The developers of The Veilguard also want to provide you with a group of individuals who have their own problems, motivations and backstories, and ultimately feel like realistically drawn, almost living companions.

In addition, the companions in Dragon Age 4 have a kind of relationship level. Your decisions in the game and the conversations you have with your companions affect how much a companion likes or trusts you. This in turn sooner or later unlocks talent points that you can use to activate skills for combat. On the following pages, you will learn more about the seven companions in Dragon Age: The Veilguard.
