About 70 percent of the Danes want to consider Greenland as part of the Kingdom of Denmark, says DR’s opinion poll.

Only 17 % of the respondents want Greenland to resign from the Kingdom to an independent state.
27 % want the current situation to continue, that is, Greenland’s permanent Denmark as a self -government area. 43 % of respondents want Greenland to remain part of the kingdom, but want Greenland to gain more self -determination within the kingdom.
In this way, a total of 70 percent of the Danes want Greenland to remain part of the Kingdom in one way or another. The Kingdom of Denmark, or Rigsfælsskabet, is made up of Denmark, Greenland and the Faroe Islands.
Danish Foreign Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen Comment cheerfully on the result of opinion polls.
– The Danes are smart. This is what I already knew. Positive thoughts are associated with the Kingdom, Rasmussen said.
Denmark has risen to the center of international politics lately as US President Donald Trump has said he wants to control the largest island in the world. The Greenland government, on the other hand, pursues the island’s independence.
