In the South Korean capital of Seoul, dozens of people were injured when they were trampled by a crowd.
People were injured when a large group of people invaded the city center to celebrate Halloween on Saturday night, South Korean news agency Yonhap reports, according to Reuters.
According to Yonhap, the rescuers would have revived at least 50 people on the spot. According to the BBC and Sky News, the local rescue service has said that around 80 people in the crowd have suffered from suffocation.
A South Korean rescue official told Sky News that around 100 people were injured, including dozens who suffered cardiac arrest. According to the official, more than 400 rescue workers are helping at the accident site, reports Sky News.
According to the BBC, there were reports of around 100,000 people at the crash site.
President of South Korea Yoon Suk-yeol has called emergency services to the scene of the accident and told hospitals to prepare.
