Dozens of new accusations against the dead billionaire Mohamed al Fayed

A BBC documentary said al-Fayed had sexually abused female staff at Harrods in London and threatened them if they tried to complain.

In Britain, the police say they have registered 40 new suspicions related to the former owner of the Harrods department store to Mohamed al-Fayed.

People have contacted the police after the documentary was published by the BBC. In September, reported on a documentary in which the victims accused the late businessman of sexual abuse and rape.

Egyptian billionaire Al Fayed died last year at the age of 94 after decades of being one of Britain’s best-known businessmen. In Finland, he was also known by his Finnish wife Heini from Wathen.

A BBC documentary said he had sexually abused female staff at Harrods in London and threatened them if they tried to complain. According to the documentary, Harrods did not intervene and helped cover up allegations of abuse during his ownership.

Harrods, which Al Fayed sold in 2010, has said it is horrified by the allegations and that it is now a very different organisation.
