In Georgia, thousands of people demonstrated on Saturday in the tenth day of protests in the country’s capital, Tbilisi.

The police said they arrested 48 people during the protests on Friday evening and the night before Saturday.

Hundreds of people have been arrested during the protests. Several non-governmental organizations and the international community have criticized the police’s harsh measures against peaceful demonstrators.

The protests started last week after the Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze announced that he would freeze the country’s EU negotiations.
