Doualemn case a vigorous police operation for his arrest at

The influencer Doualemn was arrested this Thursday, March 20, early, at his home in Montpellier. It is placed in an administrative detention center.

The influencer Doualemn had to comply with the will of the police this Thursday, March 20. Very early on, the one whose real name is Boualemn Naman was arrested at his home in Montpellier. The police operation immediately led to its transfer to Paris to place it in an administrative detention center. According to information from BFMTV, this decision was made “with a view to his expulsion”, a new expulsion decree was indeed taken against him. The judges of the Hérault Expulsion Commission (COMEX) had given a favorable opinion at the request of the authorities to expel “Doualemn” on Wednesday March 12.

On February 6, 2025, the Melun administrative court had canceled the obligation to leave French territory (OQTF) of the Algerian influencer, this decision had occurred a week after French justice has already suspended Doualemn’s emergency expulsion to Algeria decided by Bruno Retailleau. In question, according to the judge in summary proceedings of the Paris administrative court, the fact that the emergency procedure drawn by the Minister of the Interior was then not justified. However, justice had not completely contradicted Bruno Retailleau either. The Paris Administrative Court had indeed recognized that Doualemn represented a “serious threat to public order justifying an expulsion”. He also refused to suspend the withdrawal of his residence permit acted by the Minister of the Interior.

Guest of Lci In mid-February, Bruno Retailleau had assured that there were “points on which the law must be changed”, in particular the “legal rules which do not protect French society”. A declaration quickly supported by his predecessor, today Minister of Justice, Gérald Darmanin: “If it is necessary to modify the law again so that things are extremely clear and that the Republic and the State do not show helplessness, but expel from the national territory any irregular foreign person. So, it will be necessary to modify the law.”

In early January, this Algerian national had drawn the attention of the authorities after having published videos on the Tiktok social network for its 168,000 subscribers. One of them had particularly caught attention. According to the authorities, the murder of an opponent of the Algerian regime was discussed. Justice evoked rather an incentive to “catch” this man and inflict on him a “severe correction”. Expelled in an emergency towards Algeria, the influencer had finally been returned the same evening to France, which had provoked a diplomatic crisis between the two countries whose relations were already tense.
