In the Champions League semi-final match between Dortmund and PSG, great scoring chances were wasted.
Germany’s Borussia Dortmund secured the second place in the men’s Champions League final by defeating France’s PSG 1–0 in the first leg of the semi-finals.
In the match, a very attacking winning game was played, where both teams were blessed with plenty of scoring opportunities. Just a finishing touch.
The only goal of the match was scored by the experienced German striker at the end of the first half Niclas Füllkrug. He received a good pass and shot the ball into the upper left corner.
After the break, the pace picked up and PSG got into better positions. After 50 minutes as well Kylian Mbappe and Achraf Hakimi both hit the post one after the other.
Dortmund also had their own top spots. At about the 60 minute mark, Füllkraug had an excellent position to make it 2-0. This time, however, he shot the ball far into the heights.
Later, Mbappe missed a great spot, but PSG continued to waste.
Dortmund has been successful in this season’s Champions League in their defensive game. It was already the German club’s fifth clean sheet of the season. No other club has been able to match this season.
The 2nd leg of the series will be played next week in Paris.
