One person is dead and another was taken to hospital after a motorcycle and SUV collided Thursday afternoon near Tavistock, Oxford OPP said.

The two vehicles collided about 3 pm at Road 96 and 37th Line in Zorra Township, about 10 kilometers southwest of Tavistock, police said.
The driver of the motorcycle, a 65-year-old from Dorchester, died in hospital, police said. The driver’s identity wasn’t released.
The SUV driver suffered minor injuries and was taken to hospital, police said.
Sections of Road 96 and 37th Line were closed for several hours but have reopened.

Basement fire causes $200K in damage to London home
A basement fire in a home in northwest London caused more than $200,000 in damage, the London fire department said.
Occupants of the home on Eagletrace Drive were outside when firefighters arrived Thursday morning. They quickly knocked down the flames and rescued the family’s cat, the department said in a social media post. No one was injured.

Man faces trafficking charges after drugs, cash seized
A Middlesex Center resident faces trafficking charges after officers seized nearly $12,000 in illicit drugs at an Arva home, provincial police say.
Officers searched the home on Medway Road on Monday and seized drugs valued at nearly $12,000 and $10,000 in cash, police said.
A 30-year-old Arva resident is charged with two counts of possessing drugs for the purpose of trafficking and one count of obstructing a peace officer, police said. The accused was held for a bail hearing and the investigation continued, police said.

Police arrested one suspect in a shooting in Delhi where shots were fired at two buildings and also located an SUV sought in the investigation.
Officers from Norfolk OPP and Brantford police searched a home on Jamieson Court in Brantford on Wednesday night, Norfolk OPP said Thursday. Police seized a black 2016 Ford Escape investigators believe was used by two suspects who fired shots from inside a vehicle at residences on Talbot Road and Queen Street in Delhi on Monday, police said.
A female suspect was arrested at about 10:30 pm Wednesday at an address on Elgin Street in Brantford, police said.
A 24-year-old Brantford woman is charged with two counts of recklessly discharging a firearm into or at a place, and single counts of possessing a firearm without authorization, possessing a weapon for a dangerous purpose, carelessly using a firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition, and occupying a motor vehicle knowing there was a firearm, police said. She was held pending a bail hearing.

Investigators are seeking the vehicle’s driver, described as a white male, about 20 to 30 years old who was wearing a hat, sunglasses, black balaclava and white T-shirt, police said.
Officers responded at about 9:25 pm Monday to reported gunfire at an address on Talbot Road in Delhi, a community 20 kilometers east of Tillsonburg.
Investigators found evidence shots had been fired at an apartment building and a home, causing exterior damage, police said. Nobody was injured.
Witnesses reported seeing a woman arriving at both locations around 9 pm in a black Ford Escape driven by a male. The SUV left the area briefly before returning and shots were fired from inside the vehicle, police said.
