Swedes have an average of more than 80 apps installed on their mobile phones.
But only 65 percent of Swedes care about the app’s privacy policy. The rest, 35 percent, ignores them.
It shows the new report National Privacy Test (NPT).

Serious risks
In a press release, the VPN service NordvPN highlights the risks that ignore privacy policies entail.
“Apps are one of the most common channels which users’ sensitive information ends up on hibernation. In addition to the obvious, that the software itself is malicious, it is often about users allocating the Permissions app that allows it to collect personal data,” NordVPN writes I the press release.

69 percent overlook their data security
The report also shows that 69 percent of Swedish mobile users overlook the data security policy, 49 percent skips the policy on data sharing with third -party players and 56 percent never read the data collection policy.

National Privacy Test (NPT) is an open survey, which means that anyone from all over the world can do the test and compare their results with the global.
In 2024, 33,562 answered from 181 countries on 23 questions, which evaluated their skills and knowledge of online integrity.
