Done: Andreasson back in Luleå

38 points (18 goals and 20 assists) in 52 regular season games was followed by a strong SC playoff with 13 points (8+5) in as many games.

It was a point harvest that brought Luleå’s Pontus Andreasson to the NHL team Detroit’s organization.

In North America, he played in the club’s farm team Grand Rapids, where he accounted for 25 points (12+13) in 63 games.

Now the 24-year-old chooses to move home again.

The club choice?

Luleå, of course.

“I really enjoyed the first turn in Norrbotten and am looking forward to meeting all the players who remain and getting to know the new ones in the team,” he tells the club’s website.

“I’ve had a good adventure in North America, where I’ve matured further in the game and think I’ll be able to contribute a bit more across the ice than last time”.

Andreasson has signed a contract that extends over four seasons.

“We have all seen what he can contribute and it feels extra fun that we have agreed on a longer agreement with Pontus,” says Luleå’s general manager Stefan Nilsson.
