Done after penalties: Finland meets Sweden
It took time to find out the Swedish women’s bandy women’s final opponent in the WC in Åby. For the third time in this World Cup, Finland and the USA played 1–1 in the semi-finals. The match thus went to extra time – which was also goalless.
The match was decided in a penalty shootout, which Finland won 3–2.
Finland thus meets Sweden in Sunday’s final. Sweden is the favorite after winning both matches against Finland in the preliminary round. Sweden has not conceded a single goal before the final.
