The Kent Federation of Agriculture is organizing local food donations Tuesday to celebrate Canada’s Agriculture Day.
This is an opportunity for producers to share their pride and help consumers draw a closer connection to where their food comes from and the people who produce it, states a media release.
The federation is again co-ordinating local food donations to both The Salvation Army and Outreach for Hunger in Chatham-Kent, the release said. Monetary donations will be put towards food products, such as ground pork, for both organizations.
The community is welcome to participate by donating to either of the local food banks.
Curbside donations will be accepted at The Salvation Army at 46 Orangewood Blvd., Chatham, on Tuesday from 9 am to 11 am
