It was March 4 in Washington, during the Conservative Political Action Conference, the conservative convention largely snubbed this year by the other potential Republican presidential candidates of 2024 (Nikki Haley, Ron DeSantis, Mike Pence).
“With me, the case would be settled in less than twenty-four hours”, swears then the braggart. By what miracle? Mystery. “I will not say it, because otherwise I will lose the opportunity to achieve it”, he simpers finally. As usual, the former real estate developer does not shrink from any enormity. For fifty years, it has even been the secret of its success. Throughout his career, he has caused more buzz than business or politics.
According to some shrinks, it is his psychology that requires it. The important thing is to satisfy his overwhelming narcissism to make sure others watch him. Making noise and galvanizing the electorate MAGA (Make America Great Again) also makes it essential. Today, it has become his “life insurance”. Thus, he hopes to neutralize the legal proceedings against him – for embezzlement of documents at the White House, interference in the counting of the ballots in Georgia, incitement to the insurrection of the Capitol and fraud within the Trump Organization.
If one of them were to materialize, it will cause an even more “henaurmic” buzz, cry conspiracy, disrupt the debate, weaken democratic life. Something to make justice think before a possible indictment.
