Three trials await the former president.
Former President of the United States Donald Trump made a speech at the Republican Party dinner event in the state of Alabama on Friday night local time. The speech was Trump’s first since he was indicted in court in the capital, Washington, on Thursday.
In his speech, he hurled insults at the prosecutors who brought charges against him, saying the criminal charges would only help him in his presidential campaign.
“Every time they file lawsuits against me, my approval ratings go up,” Trump said.
– One more lawsuit and this election is over, Trump added.
Earlier on Friday, Trump’s campaign office published a campaign video in which the prosecutors who have brought charges against Trump or are investigating Trump for suspected crimes were attacked.
The video criticized, among other things, the special prosecutor of the US Department of Justice Jack SmithAttorney General of the State of New York Letitia JamesManhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg as well as the Fulton District Attorney Fan of Willis.
In the video, the group was called “fraud squad”.
Trump denied the new charges related to the classified documents
Earlier on Friday, Trump denied the new charges against him related to keeping secret documents. He pleaded not guilty in a written statement to the Florida court hearing the case.
The trial related to the documents is scheduled to begin in May next year.
Justice Department special counsel Smith was indicted last week on three charges against Trump, one for intentionally withholding national defense information and two for obstructing an investigation.
Trump also pleaded not guilty Thursday to four charges against him related to his efforts to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election.
In addition, in April in New York, the former president was read the charges related to the 2016 presidential election under the porn actress to Stormy Daniels to the paid bribes. The trial is believed to begin in early 2024.
