Donald Trump spoke about his commitment to NATO It depends

According to Donald Trump, who is seeking to return to the White House, the other member countries of the military alliance NATO do not finance the defense alliance sufficiently.

Former President of the United States Donald Trump has commented on the US’s commitment to NATO, if he is elected to a new presidency in this year’s elections.

Trump commented on the question on Wednesday during an election campaign televised by Fox News.

– It depends on whether they treat us properly. NATO has taken advantage of our country, Trump said to Fox News.

According to Trump, other NATO member countries do not finance the defense alliance sufficiently. He said that he believes that peace can be achieved in the world with the help of a sufficiently strong NATO and the deterrence it creates.

Trump is still the favorite in the primaries

Trump is currently the leading candidate for the Republican presidential nomination for the November 5 election. The party’s voters decide on their candidate in primaries held throughout the year.

According to an opinion poll published by the news agency Reuters and the market research company Ipsos on Tuesday, Trump clearly leads other Republicans with 49 percent of his support.

The former governor of South Carolina and former US ambassador to the UN ranked second in an internal poll of Republican candidates Nikki Haley with 12 percent support. Governor of Florida Ron DeSantis was third in a recent survey with 11 percent support.

Trump’s election event was organized at the same time as the heated election debate between Haley and DeSantis presented by the news channel CNN.

During the debate, both candidates took turns trying to convince Republican voters why they would be better options than Trump as the party’s presidential nominee.
