Donald Trump ordered to pay more than 80 million in

Trump will have to pay journalist E. Jean Carroll compensation for 83.3 million dollars, i.e. more than 76 million euros.

In New York, a jury has reached its conclusion in a defamation trial to determine how much the former US president Donald Trump has to pay the victim of his sexual abuse, reporter To E. Jean Carroll.

The nine-member jury decided that Trump has to pay Carroll 18.3 million dollars in damages, or about 16.6 million euros. In addition, Trump will have to pay punitive damages of approximately 65 million dollars, or almost 60 million euros.

In total, Trump was sentenced to pay Carroll 83.3 million dollars, or more than 76 million euros.

Carroll demanded damages of at least ten million dollars. In addition, he demanded a fine in order for Trump to stop his accusations.

Trump left the courtroom in the middle of the trial earlier Friday.

Shortly after the jury’s decision was released, Trump wrote on Truth Social that he plans to appeal the verdict. He called his sentence ridiculous.

Trump already convicted of sexual abuse of Carroll

In May of last year, Trump was already sentenced in a civil trial to be liable for compensation for the sexual abuse of Carroll, which took place in the spring of 1996.

At the time, Trump was ordered to pay Carroll five million dollars in damages.

Trump has denied even meeting Carroll and has consistently accused Carroll of being a liar.

Carroll has said that he suffered from the accusations made by Trump. Along with defamation, he has lost a lot of journalist jobs. He has also been threatened by Trump supporters and received death threats.
