Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump appears on Joe Rogan’s podcast, according to US media.
Joe Rogan, with more than 14 million followers on Spotify, has long had one of America’s biggest podcasts. On Friday, he will be visited by Donald Trump for the first time, several American media reports with reference to campaign representatives.
Trump, who recently appeared in several other podcasts with primarily young men as the target group, thus continues to direct his focus towards male voters.
The relationship with Rogan has not been straightforward. As recently as August, Trump mocked the podcaster after he expressed his support for Robert F Kennedy Jr, who has since withdrawn from the presidential campaign and endorsed Trump.
Rogan has in turn criticized Trump, among other things by calling him an “existential threat to democracy” in July 2022. Recently, however, he has been more sympathetic to the Republican, according to Politico.
Democratic candidate Kamala Harris, who has also made appearances on major podcasts recently, is said to have also had discussions about participating in Rogan’s podcast. How that will turn out remains to be seen.
