In cinema, there are the Larrieu brothers, the Scott brothers, or the Dardenne brothers. In literature, there are the Goncourt brothers. In painting, there are the Flandrins. In comics, illustration and cinema – yes all three at the same time – there are the Brizzi brothers. Not only brothers but even twin brothers.
They were born on December 24, the evening of Christmas Eve. And they worked a few years later on a special Christmas episode of Winnie the Pooh. Because Paul and Gaëtan Brizzi also worked for Disney, and storyboarded for directors like Roman Polanski and Kevin Lima.
For several years, they have put their pencils at the service of literature. A screenplay by Christophe Malavoy based on the work of Louis-Ferdinand Céline, but also two albums inspired by Boris Vian.
A year ago, they tackled “ Dante’s Inferno », published by Daniel Maghen editions. From the same publisher, they are now releasing their adaptation of one of the greatest novels of the 17th century, a novel translated in more than 140 countries, by Miguel de Cervantes, a leading figure if ever there was one in Spanish literature. : “ Don Quixote of La Mancha “.
