It was the band’s costume designer, the famous designer Camilla Thulin, who is also Dominika Peczynski’s best friend, who had tipped Camilla off. But Camilla saw a big obstacle in front of her.
– I couldn’t sing, could I? But Alexander said it wasn’t a problem as I ‘was so sexy’. Alexander picked me up at Arlanda and I had an audition in the car. After I had sung with the radio for a while, he just said ‘you’re good’, says Dominika in “Malou after five”.
21-year-old Dominika moved in with Alexander Bard, who both cooked her food and washed her clothes.
– I was a lost youth who didn’t belong anywhere, but here I did, she says.
Since several of the members of the band were of Jewish descent, they chose to make playful but provocative allusions to Judaism every now and then, which became a real talking point.

Yes. At the end of her teenage years, Dominika was gone for almost two years to travel around to different countries in Europe for different types of modeling jobs. Unlike others, she considered that the modeling industry was “a safe world that suited her”, which she told about in the documentary about Army of lovers.

After Dominika’s successful year in Army of lovers, she switched to a PR consultant and became a real buzz queen in Stockholm’s inner city. But glitter and Champagne were a surface that obscured something completely different.
Shortly after the turn of the year 2011, Dominika’s body failed, she had a breakdown and had to be driven to the doctor by her friends. Then came the diagnosis: exhaustion depression.
After years of talk therapy, anti-depressant medication and a calmer schedule, she got back on track and today, under the circumstances, is doing well.

How did Dominika Peczynski meet Anders Borg?
In 2014, Dominika Peczynski wrote a debate article for SVT Opinion that was widely shared on social media. One of those who saw it – it was Anders Borg who later emailed Dominika. A short time later, the profiles met and sparks flew immediately.
The couple married in 2018 and lived together in a gem on Östermalm in Stockholm. But one day an unexpected lightning bolt struck the news feed.

“Anders Borg and I have jointly filed for divorce today. Since we do not have children living at home together, the divorce takes effect without a cooling-off period,” she wrote.

But yeah, the whole thing was more of a…. argument than a breakup.
Barely 24 hours later, she told in an interview with Stoppa Pressarna that she regretted the divorce (which took place via BankID) and that the couple wanted to continue being together – just not as husband and wife.
So, what caused it all to generate a divorce?
According to Dominika Peczynski, she made the decision to divorce when she wanted to spend time with her husband on Tuesday evening, but “who instead chose to read newspapers on his iPad and ignored her”.
Dominika had arranged a nice charcuterie tray and good wine. She wanted to talk about her day but then felt she was being ignored by Anders. She told all about it in an Instagram post.
“So a well-intentioned tip for men: whatever you’re up to – sitting engrossed in work in the home office, mowing the lawn for hours, reading stock market news on the phone in the bathroom (ok, on the mug) screwing with some old appliance in the basement. … Whatever tickles your fancy. Do it as much and as often as you want. No woman misses her own interests,” she wrote. in a post that was praised by other women who recognized themselves.
