The dogs marked strongly when customs workers opened a refrigerated container in the port of Aarhus. When the contents were examined more closely, a stash of black and green packages was discovered which turned out to contain cocaine.
According to the Danish Customs Board, this is one of the largest seizures in modern times. During the whole of last year, for example, customs found only seven kilos of cocaine, and during the whole of 2020 around 22 kilos.
The cocaine seizure was made in mid-September, the Swedish Customs Board writes in a press release. The matter is now being investigated by the police in East Jutland.
