A police patrol was sent to Tuve in Gothenburg to take care of an affected man on Friday morning. The man was lying next to a stop and had a large dog with him.
When the police approached the man, the dog attacked and bit one of the policemen in the leg. The police then backed away.
– A colleague shoots when the stray dog again makes an attack on the police, says the police’s spokesperson Anna Göransson.
The dog died on the spot after the shot.
The bitten police received no serious injuries. Both the police and the affected man had to go to the hospital for a check-up.
A report of violence against an official and attempted violence against an official must be written.
– The investigation must show what responsibility the man has for the dog’s behavior, says Anna Göransson.
