A man with a holiday home in Uddevalla would inform his neighbor that tradesmen would partially block the road. Then the neighbor’s dog, of a larger model, attacked. It pulled the man to the ground, bit his arm and tore him.
The incident was reported to the police and the dog owner has now been convicted of causing bodily harm, Bohusläningen reports.
The dog owner, who claims to have a great dog habit and took responsibility for the incident, could not understand why the dog suddenly attacked.
– It must be something that triggered in some way, he told the police.
The dog has since been euthanized due to the incident, which occurred in the fall of 2021.
The dog owner is sentenced to pay a fine of almost SEK 12,000. In addition to that, he must also pay approximately SEK 11,000 in damages to the holiday home owner.
