The trailer for Deadpool 3 has reached us and finally shows us more of Hugh Jackman, who makes his big return as Wolverine in the superhero sequel. In addition to the X-Men star and the titular loud-mouthed mercenary (Ryan Reynolds), the trailer suggests a whole host of other heroes and villains who could play a role in Deadpool & Wolverine.

While, among other things, the huge helmet of Ant-Man aka Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) hints at a possible appearance and various X-Men stars including Azael and Lady Deathstrike are teased, there is a special reference that will make every MCU heart beat faster should. A few weeks ago, set photos from Deadpool & Wolverine were circulating online, showing vehicles that were reminiscent of Johann Schmidt aka Red Skull’s coupe from Captain America – The First Avenger. A similar vehicle now appears in the trailer for Deadpool 3. However, instead of being adorned with the HYDRA logo, it is emblazoned on the front of the car Iron Man’s mask.

What exactly the vehicle in the Deadpool 3 trailer means is still unclear, but it could a version of Tony Stark in an alternate timeline of the multiverse. So Deadpool and Wolverine could meet this alternative Iron Man in the film. Whether that will happen and whether he will then be embodied by Robert Downey Jr. can only be speculated so far.
