[Mis à jour le 7 février 2022 à 20h45] In My Stranger, François Civil embodies a science fiction author who finds himself projected into an alternate reality where the love of his life no longer knows him. The latter became a world-renowned pianist. For the needs of this role, Joséphine Japy had to familiarize herself with the piano, which she did not practice, to be credible in the role. However, the actress was also helped by a stunt double that can be heard in the film.
For the needs of My Unknown, Joséphine Japy had to practice the piano for four months, following two hours of lessons each day and training daily between 2 and 3 hours. During the filming, she was then able to play certain pieces. “As soon as we were fixed on the choice of a piece, we began to think about gestures, posture and emotions, then I sat down at the piano and the coach made me mime the positioning of the hands on the keyboard to determine the areas of the game, she described in comments reported by Allocinated. So I learned that at such a time my hands had to be positioned at such a place on the keyboard. We then worked with my understudy until we became a bit of a ghost of each other.”
Synopsis – Overnight, Raphaël finds himself immersed in a world where he has never met Olivia, the woman of his life. How will he go about winning back his wife, who has become a complete stranger?
