The 2030 FIFA World Cup was awarded to six countries and three continents. According to FIFA rules, two consecutive World Cups cannot be held in the same continent.
The international football association Fifa announced on Wednesday that the 2030 men’s World Cup will be played in six countries and three continents.
The three opening matches will be played in Uruguay, Argentina and Paraguay. These matches are intended to celebrate the centenary of the World Cup, as it will be 100 years since the first World Cup tournament played in Montevideo, Uruguay in 1930.
The actual host countries of the games are Spain, Portugal and Morocco.
