The revival of nuclear is one of the great objectives of France in recent years. The major example being the Flamanville reactor, whose commissioning took more time than expected but started last May. In 2023 was even promulgated a law relating to the acceleration of nuclear. Emmanuel Macron himself regularly assures that new reactors will be built in the coming decades, creating numerous jobs in the sector.
Across the Rhine, we are looked at with wide eyes. Because at the same time, in April 2023, the last three German nuclear power plants were definitively arrested. So, on energy and more broadly climatic questions, should we take example from Germany?
