Doctors Without Borders is suspending its operations in Haiti’s capital Port-au-Prince after the city was rocked by violence.
“A series of threats from the Haitian police force against Doctors Without Borders staff forces the organization to suspend its operations in Port-au-Prince until further notice,” the organization writes in a press release.
Criminal gangs control about 80 percent of Port-au-Prince and are violently undermining central government in large parts of Haiti.
