The French physician who is charged with rape and sexual abuse of 299 children acknowledges abuse against all children included in the prosecution.
That says the former doctor’s lawyer.
– I asked him if he felt that all 299 charges were law violations (from his side) and he said yes, says lawyer Maxime Tessier.
The 73-year-old physician Joël Le Scouarnec subjected to 299 children to rape and sexual abuse between 1989 and 2014.
Already during the first day of the trial, at the end of February, he admitted that he has committed a majority of the crimes he is charged with.
Of the 299 children who must have been exposed by the doctor, just over half were boys, according to Brittany magazine Le Télégramme. The majority were under 15 years old. Most were his patients.
In December 2020, Le Scouarnec was sentenced to 15 years in prison for sexual abuse against four little girls. Two were relatives, the third one four -year -old patient and the fourth a six -year -old neighbor girl.
In the ongoing trial, which is expected to last for four months, Le Scouarnec can be sentenced to 20 years in prison.
