A doctor in Norrbotten has been charged by the Inspectorate for Care and Care (Ivo) for false certification after prescribing narcotic-classified medicine to a relative with drug addiction.
Over the course of a year, the doctor prescribed 3,800 narcotic-classified tablets to a relative with drug addiction. The person was convicted of drug offenses and lived with a protected identity due to a threatening image, writes Piteå-Tidningen.
According to the doctor, the relative could not have any permanent healthcare contact due to the threat.
