The doctor risks losing his license

In a notification from the Inspectorate for Care and Care (Ivo), which News24 taken note of, the authority reports that the doctor in charge was grossly incompetent and therefore reports him to the Health Care Accountability Board (HSAN).

In his report to the Health and Medical Service’s responsibility committee, Ivo emphasizes that there was also a lack of equipment such as oxygen tubes, which are needed in case the patients suffer from life-threatening conditions. To Ivo’s inspectors, the doctor must also have made a statement about how he would act in the event that a patient briefly had low oxygen levels. The doctor’s recommendation was then to “just shake the patient”.

Ivo: The doctor has been grossly incompetent in all patient cases

Ivo’s conclusion in the case is that it is judged that the doctor was grossly incompetent when it comes to handling medicines in all reviewed patient cases. According to them, it results in negligence so serious from a patient safety perspective that it is judged that the doctor’s license should be completely revoked.

A few months after Ivo began his review of the clinic, it went bankrupt.
