A doctor at a hospital in Halland is being prosecuted at the Varberg district court for repeated data breaches.
On 40 occasions, the doctor has opened and read medical records concerning two patients without having had any reason to take part in their medical history within the framework of his work at the hospital.
The breach took place over four months in the spring of 2023. The patients affected are plaintiffs in the lawsuit.
