Doctor Who finale turns all expectations on their head and reveals ‘wrong’ sequel

The final Doctor Who episode starring Jodie Whittaker has just aired. In time for the sci-fi series’ 60th anniversary, the episode brought back a familiar face, surprisingly revealed to be the 14th Doctor.

David Tennant reprises the role before Ncuti Gatwa from the Netflix series Sex Education embodies the character as the 15th Doctor in the series’ history. The Season 14 teaser with all the stars You can see it in the article image player above.

Doctor Who also returns in 2023 with three specials

David Tennant was already in the Doctor Who role from 2005 to 2010 to see. Now he’s made a surprise return as the 14th Doctor in the sci-fi series ahead of Gatwa. The new veteran Doctor Who star will appear in three special episodes set to air in November 2023. In addition to Tennant, his companion at the time, Donna Noble (Catherine Tate), also returns.

The big new Doctor Who star after Jodie Whittaker is Ncuti Gatwa, who is briefly introduced in the Season 14 trailer. He faces How I Met Your Mother star Neil Patrick Harris as the villain, who as biggest opponent for the Doctor so far is described. He can be seen briefly in the short preview.

2023 the new Doctor Who episodes will be broadcast on the BBC. When and where the next season of the sci-fi series can be seen is not yet certain.
