Doctor pleads guilty after Matthew Perry’s death

Suspect confesses • Actor star Matthew Perry found dead in swimming pool

Five people are suspected after actor Matthew Perry was found dead in his pool last year.
Now one of the suspects, a male doctor, has pleaded guilty in one case.
The doctor admits to distributing the drug ketamine to Perry.

Perry was found dead in her pool last October. He was reportedly treated for depression, but reportedly received his prescribed dose of ketamine a week and a half before his death. At the autopsy, levels of the drug ketamine were found in the blood.

US prosecutors have filed charges against five people linked to his death. Now one of them, a male doctor, has “agreed” to plead guilty in a case, reports Deadline. The doctor must have signed a settlement.

Supplied Perry with ketamine

According to the prosecutor, the five defendants must be part of a “broad secret criminal network”, which supplied Perry and several others with ketamine. Perry’s addiction must also have been used so that the accused could have enriched themselves, says prosecutor Martin Estrada.

In encrypted chats, they allegedly discussed how much Perry might be willing to pay.

Two people are detained, a male doctor in his 40s and a woman in her 40s, also called the “Ketamin Queen”.

They have both denied the charges and are scheduled to appear in court in early to mid-October.

Collaborated with the assistant

A 55-year-old man has previously pleaded guilty to distributing the ketamine found dead in Perry. Perry’s former assistant is also suspected of having, together with the other suspects, procured ketamine and given it to Perry.

The doctor who now pleads guilty to one count is said to have sold ketamine to the man in his 40s who is being held in custody. Among other things, the ketamine is said to have come from his previous ketamine clinic.
