The doctor who was active has worked at a health center in Umeå municipality since 2015. During that time, according to the report, he has made a large number of mistakes that affected patients.
– We want IVO to help us with an investigation of the doctor’s competence, says Karl-Gustav Forsberg, operations manager of Primary Care East in Umeå.
No one was directly injured. But it has caused concern and there has been a risk of injury. The doctor has been the subject of a number of cases in the patient committee and his work has led to several deviation reports. But the doctor remains in his post while IVO investigates.
– The report could lead to criticism of us that we did not handle his specialist medical training in a good way to the point that the doctor’s ID is withdrawn, says Karl-Gustav Forsberg.
