Losing weight is not easy for everyone. While some of them do their regimen and sports in a very disciplined way, others are tempted by the lure of the armchair with the laziness of delicious food and tiredness. University of Chicago researchers have uncovered a simple but effective way to lose weight in a new study. Researchers tracked sleep duration and calorie intake of 80 overweight people.
According to the surprising results; revealed that those who slept more consumed an average of 270 fewer calories each day. Experts underlined that one more hour should be added to the average sleeping time in order to effectively lose 4 kilos per year.
SCIENTISTS CALLED
In light of their findings, the scientists called for the addition of sleep advice to obesity prevention and weight loss programs. They said limiting screen time before bed was a major factor among those who were able to sleep more.
Previous studies have revealed that not getting enough sleep affects appetite regulation and increases the risk of weight gain.
