Fishing with a pole is a summer activity that appeals to both experienced anglers and curious beginners. When fishing, you can enjoy the summer sun, listen to the lapping of the waves and chat with other fishermen – it doesn’t get any nicer than that.

The most fun, however, is getting a fish on the hook – something that can be difficult if you happen to be in the wrong place.

Someone who knows exactly where to stand, however, is the angler Victor Sandbergas for TV4 shared their best tips.

The fish stay in deeper water during the summer

News24 has previously compiled a guide on how to maximize the chances of getting a catch with a casting rod. Then, among other things, the importance of having an eye on the fish you are looking for emerged.

Different types of fish live in different bodies of water. Some stay close to the surface, while others lurk on the ocean floor.

During the summer months, the fish often move towards deeper, cooler water to avoid the heat. Therefore, summer is the perfect time for night fishing, both for fishing with a fishing rod or a casting rod.

Where should I fish to get a pacifier?

Finding the perfect spot for fishing can be easier said than done. To make it all a little easier have TV4 talked to angler Victor Sandberg, who shares some well-chosen tips.

According to him, there is actually a place where you are almost guaranteed to catch a fish on the hook.

– Boat harbors. There are often a lot of fish in these areas, he tells TV4.

If you stand in a boat harbor but still don’t manage to get anything on the hook, you shouldn’t hang your lip, but just gather your strength and move a little bit.

– Be patient, but not too patient. If they are not here then it is just as well to walk ten steps, says Victor Sandberg TV4.
