The result fits with the mood that has prevailed so far towards the long-distance raid pass changes.
How have the changes been received so far? Many critical voices have been raised in the Pokémon GO community since the changes were announced. Both the limit to 5 long-distance raids per day and the price increase led to various actions by some players.
Some players and creators wrote an open letter to developer Niantic, expressing a lack of understanding of the changes. The changes are not only uncomfortable, but also hit some trainer groups, such as rural players without a local community, particularly hard.
Among other things, it refers to the argument that bonuses for playing locally should be introduced instead of weakening the remote features if players are to be motivated to participate more in local raids again.
A petition addressed to developer Niantic that the changes should be withdrawn went in a similar direction.
