Milk better than water for hydration?

Be careful, in periods of high temperatures or heat waves, it is not recommended to drink ice water to quench your thirst. Prefer water at room temperature. The thermal shock generated by very cold water acts on your body and causes an imbalance. The organism then reacts by producing energy to regain its temperature of 37 degrees, which interrupts the sweating process of its body which was used to eliminate heat. So it’s counterproductive.

Our advice for staying hydrated in summer? Drink water at room temperature, or even milk. Scottish researchers from the University of St Andrews demonstrated in a study published in ” The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition “that skimmed milk was the most hydrating drink (ahead of water) thanks to its lactose, protein, sodium and fat content. All these elements combined give it a more effective hydrating action than water.
