In central Jönköping, the E4 is closed and traffic has had to be diverted to smaller roads.

— It is still closed in both directions between the traffic areas Ekhagen and Österängen where the rescue service is working to pump away water, says Camilla Nilssoninformant at the rescue service.

Earlier it was also feared that there was a risk of landslides at the height of Huskvarna and the E4 in the southbound direction was temporarily closed.

“It was a slope that was about to give way, but the danger should be over now and the emergency services have left the scene,” says Camilla Nilsson.

The emergency services urge motorists not to go out into traffic unless they have to.

“Traffic is being rerouted right now, but there is no sure forecast for when traffic will flow as usual. We have roughly 200 events linked to the storm to deal with in the county,” says Samuel Nyströmrescue manager in Jönköping municipality, in a press release.
