Do not celebrate too early

The enemy raids in Palworld can ruin the day for players. A Reddit user seems to have found a good way to combat this. But the community can only laugh at his suggestion.

How do raids work in Palworld? Enemy groups repeatedly attack their own base. They try to get inside and destroy the base. They don’t stop at buildings or their own pals, so chaos quickly breaks out. The community is already busy showing their bases to other players. It would be a shame if your own headquarters were razed to the ground.

In his post, a Reddit user presented at least one way to avoid raids.

What trick does the user use? User freddyxm posted a video (via Reddit) in which he wrote: “I’ll never worry about raids again.”

The reason for this can be seen in the video. The player has surrounded his base with a wooden wall. As the enemies advance, he climbs the wall and jumps to the ground on the other side. While the opponents are busy hitting the wall, the player throws a very specific pal at them.

Specifically, it is a Jolthog, a Pal type of electricity. With just one throw, it triggers an explosion and defeats almost all opponents. Those who survive the explosion die immediately afterwards from the lightning, which continues to cause damage.

So the player has found a safe way to fight raids. Or maybe not? The community on Reddit has its own opinion.

Another player’s pal won’t stop growing. Is it a bug or already a feature?

The community laughs at the user’s trick

How does the community react? There are a lot of comments from other players under the video. Most of them seem to be further along in the game and have greater knowledge than the creator of the video, freddyxm.

They mostly ridicule the supposed trick. The method might work well initially, but become completely useless later in the game.

QU417Z writes: “You will love it when you reach level 35 or more”. As you level up, the raids also change. Enemies then attack from the air, using fire and explosions to destroy the base. A plain wooden wall hardly helps. Maybe a roof?

“Don’t hold it against him, we were all foolish once,” smiles user Regetron. Alluding to the series “Avatar: The Last Airbender,” LeftJayed writes, “Everything changed when the Fire Nation attacked.”

And Steinbei55er also questions the wooden walls: “What happens if the raid comes with flamethrowers and burns down the wall?”

All in all, the players agree and tell freddyxm in a tongue-in-cheek way: Don’t get excited too early. The game will become even more difficult and your trick will no longer be worth anything.

Does the community have any constructive suggestions? Yes, she has. One user gives the tip to build your own base high up on a table mountain. The enemies would spawn below and not reach him.

Or you can deactivate the raids completely. The player aski4777 did this because, in his eyes, the raids become “ridiculously difficult”, especially later in the game. Do you want to defend yourself better? At MeinMMO we have practical tips for legendary weapons and armor.
