Tormented by growing mental illness and accusations of corruption, he is reaching the breaking point. His life is turned upside down when he is reluctantly mated with the cubs Rachel (Adelayo Adedayo). The script is written by Tony Schumacher who himself worked as a policeman in Liverpool.

Just over 25 years ago, Olivier Assaya’s cult-declared “Irma Vep” (anagram for “vampire”) came out with Maggie Cheung, which revolves around filmmaking in desire and need. In this stand-alone TV series by the same French director, Alicia Vikander plays an American star actress who visits Paris to take part in a remake of the classic silent film “Les vampires” (1915). The series had its world premiere during this year’s Cannes Festival.

“With great power comes the absolute certainty you’ll turn into a right cunt”, states Butcher (Karl Urban) who gets superhero powers in the new season of Amazon’s cocky and child-forbidden superstar who started in Garth Ennis’ comic book album. A series that plays with the idea of what would happen if superheroes abuse their powers instead of working for the good. Instead, they behave like arrogant pigs, spoiled, unbridled and life-threatening narcissists with Messianic complexes. In the third season, the vigilant group The Boys continue to try to reveal the truth about The Seven and Vought – a corrupt conglomerate that handles the superheroes and tries to sweep their dirty secrets under the rug. Series creator Eric Kripke, believes that the opening of the third season is the craziest he has created.

The first season of this dark drama comedy set in the 80’s on the sunny side of San Diego was a small exclamation point. Rose Byrne (“Mrs. America”) shines as a frustrated housewife with low self-esteem who turned into a lifestyle guru. In the second season, Murray Bartlett (the hotel manager from “The white lotus”) is also thrown into the game as a charismatic TV-shop pioneer, training instructor, and weight loss guru.
“South park. The streaming wars ”

Cartman flirts with his mother at the same time as an epic conflict flares up in South Park and eventually threatens the very existence of the small hole. This is how you could describe the plot in I “South Park: The streaming wars”, the third film in connection with the series’ 25th anniversary celebrations. The fourth premieres later this summer, the two previous “South Park: Post Covid” and “South Park: Post Covid: The return of Covid” are also available on Paramount +.

Based on “Magpie murders” by best-selling author Anthony Horowitz (“Alex Rider” and the TV series “Foyle’s war”, etc.).
“Elvis, Plato and Belfast”

Uplifting and wonderful about a high-energy Elvis-digging principal at a boys’ school in Belfast who successfully uses classical philosophy to break the vicious circles of violence, drugs, violence and segregation in one of the city’s most vulnerable areas. Award-winning Irish documentary by Declan McGrath which is a compulsory viewing for everyone and is immediately included in Swedish teacher education.
“Mr Good: The mystery of Eirik Jensen”

Straight and fast documentary series (English title “Mr Good: Cop or Crook?”) About the scandal that shook the Norwegian police. At the center is the outspoken police commissioner Eirik Jensen, who played a key role in the Oslo police’s fight against organized crime. Eight years ago, he was arrested and charged with corruption and drug smuggling after he helped one of Norway’s largest drug dealers to import 14 tonnes of hashish. Jensen is currently serving a 21-year prison sentence in Kongsvinger, but claims that he is innocent and has been put there by his informant, who is the prosecutor’s most important witness.

In early 2003, she unveiled a memo showing that the United States and Britain had plans to eavesdrop on and gather compromising information about members of the UN Security Council – all with the aim of pressuring the UN to support the invasion of Iraq.

The teenager Kimmie (Sebastian Ljungblad) dreams of a new life beyond his crisis-stricken mill on Östgötaslätten. Authentic and touching about the social heritage and about a forgotten Sweden with a one hundred percent tone hit from director Peter Grönlund (“Thieves”, “Björnstad”). “Goliath” won four Golden Bugs, including for best director and best male lead (Joakim Sällquist).

Strong decolonization drama where Isabelle Huppert excels as a stubborn French plantation owner who is forced to realize that her time is up when the bloody civil war moves closer in an unnamed African country. While her family is planning to flee to France, she refuses to realize that her world is doomed to collapse. By the French director Claire Denis, who partly grew up in Cameroon, and made domesticity and alienation a parade theme.

French champion Robert Bresson is currently being presented with a miniseries on SVT Play. In addition to masterpieces such as “The Pocket Thief” and “A Death Eater Has Escaped”, this classic is also shown about an ascetic, newly-baked priest who moves to a small village to take care of his first congregation. To remedy his recurring stomach problems, he sets out on a disciplined communion diet with bread and wine.
