DN disclosure: Extensive cheating at the elite school

At the school Campus Manilla, where Princess Estelle and Prince Oscar go, among others, has discovered extensive systematic cheating among high school students. The prestigious school is now investigating whether to suspend students, reports DN.

The school has students from elementary to high school. There are students in the high school classes where the widespread cheating is said to have occurred.

– Our investigation is still ongoing. But this concerns strong suspicions. It takes a lot for me not to judge it as cheating, says Robert Mellander, who is the principal of both the primary and secondary schools at Campus Manilla to DN.

51 students are suspected

It was when teachers discovered suspicious response patterns on digital tests that the alarm was raised that cheating might occur. It later turned out that many students had discovered a way to bypass the lock on the computer which meant that they did not have access to other information during the exam.

More specifically, they had entered keyboard shortcuts that, instead of typing just one word, could produce a complete answer to a question.

Been in windy weather before

In total, 51 of the school’s 260 students are being investigated for cheating. In some cases, it is suspected that it has been going on for over a year. The school does not rule out suspending students.

In March this year, the school was criticized by the School Inspectorate for having inexplicably high grades, writes DN.
